What is a virtual book tour?
A virtual book tour is when a book and its author are featured on a series of websites during a specific time, like an online version of bookstore appearances. Virtual book tours are wonderful ways for authors to get more publicity and to make connections with bloggers and readers.
What does Fictionella Book Tours do?
Nancy will contact book bloggers and pitch the author and book to interest bloggers in participating in the tour. Once the blog stops are scheduled, Nancy sets up a calendar with the dates and blogs the author/book will be featured on throughout the tour. She will keep in touch with bloggers to make sure they have what they need for the tour, and will send them reminders prior to their scheduled posts. Additionally, Nancy will help spread the word about the tour, sale, and/or event through social media and Fictionella's website. Please note that Nancy cannot be held responsible if bloggers do not fulfill their agreements. If this occurs, alternate arrangements will be made. On the Fictionella website, each author will get a page that lists the details of the promotion, and the tour dates and stops, including links. Nancy also provides original tour artwork.
What is the author’s responsibility?
Depending on the package selected, authors are responsible for answering interview questions, writing unique guest posts, writing short stories, and/or lowering book prices. All necessary content must be submitted by the authors to Nancy on time. If authors are participating in a tour for book reviews, they will be responsible for sending the eBook files to Nancy for distribution to the bloggers and/or mailing paperback copies to the bloggers requesting this format. If authors sign up for events, they will be responsible for attending and participating in the scheduled events.
